The titanium tips made a noticeable difference on my thick-coated pup — the 5/8" length actually reaches through the fur now. Snug fit on the collar, no wobble at all.

Swapped these titanium points onto my receiver and they actually reach through my lab's fur now, which the stock ones never did. The 5/8" length is just right for a medium-coated dog, and the threads went in smooth without any wobble.
